The handmade Tubular Corsa EVO CX’s handmade construction is strictly reserved for the highest class of racing tires. These tires employ the highest grade of Corespun casing cord & optimized rubber compounds available. Vittoria exclusive Vittoria casing manufacturing process called "Compressed Warp" allows individual threads to act independently, thereby significantly reducing surface deflection and rolling resistance.
This casing cord construction is made up of a single polyester filament core and a wound cotton covering. The cotton offers improved bonding to the natural rubber without any added stiffness, thus lowering the rolling resistance. The Polyester cord is what gives these tires the needed strength for durability and ultra high air pressures.Beside the normal Corespun we offer "Corespun K" casing, which are made with 50% of Kevlar® wires for better cut resistance and strength, and "Corespun T" Casing, made with special wires to lower the weight.
